BAI Assured Supplier Program is designed to address specific needs of organisations with large supply chain and limited resources to ascertain that the prospective suppliers meet and will continue to meet organisational expectations from time to time. BAI acts as a common link between the customer and supplier and enables both sides to gain valuable trust and credibility established through customised audits addressing the needs and expectations. These audits will typically address all aspects of business, right from Infrastructure, Resources, Supplier proven credentials, Performance of management systems, Potential challenges and solutions/recommendations from BAI experts.
Duration of supplier audits will typically be for a minimum of 1 man-day, however the duration may be mutually increased depending upon the criticality, complexity of the scope and size of the organisation. Assured Supplier program may deploy different approaches and methodologies depending upon Criticality and Risks associated with the suppliers or supplies. Some program may limit audits to offsite reviews of documentation and some may require onsite review and audit, while some may require both. The extent of engagement and approach is finalised and mutually agreed well in advance.
